A Note from a Mill House Member

Hello! My name is Tom Stumm. My service dog, Tony, and I started attending the Mill House in June of 2005.
I am forty-six years old and I acquired my brain injury in 1982 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. At the time of my injury, I was a senior at the University of Virginia.. I attend the clubhouse on Mondays and Wednesdays. Every Monday, we volunteer at Meals on Wheels. This is by far my favorite activity. We take meals to individuals that are unable to get meals on their own. Every Wednesday, we clean the Universal Unitarian Church in Glen Allen, Virginia. These two opportunities help me give something back to society and they help me both physically and emotionally. Many thanks to The Mill House for allowing me to participate in these activities.
The doors of The Mill House are always open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:30pm. We make excellent lunches on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
